The Diamond Inn in Ponteland, Northumberland

The Diamond Inn is located in the heart of Ponteland and offers a wide range of real ales, real food, and a real atmosphere! We're popular with locals and tourists alike for our friendly demeanour and outgoing personality. The food is locally sourced and freshly prepared by our family run kitchen, who just love to cook! We have a large selection of beers, wine, and spirits for you to sample too.

We also offer beautiful en suite accomodation throughout the year and anyone's welcome to come and stay with us! We're ideally located just 5 minutes from Newcastle Airport and only 15 from the city center.

Our upstairs bar, called The Rock, is available for hire for parties, christenings and all other occasions! Have this room to yourselves and have a great night along with it! We can organise a band or DJ for you, and if you like our kitchen can make you a fantastic spread of food. Though if you want to organise your own DJ and food, that’s fine!

Established in the early 1700’s as an old coaching inn, the much loved public house has been expertly run by Paul Holliday since 1986 when it underwent an extensive refurbishment.

Recently The Diamond has undergone an even bigger transformation.

Downstairs maintains its character and country pub feel and boasts a fresh approach to the food menu with our new in house caterer “Exchange Café”. The pub also benefits extra floor space, so even more customers can enjoy an evening at The Diamond.
