Hello.

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Beverley Hume and I am the owner of a fascinating Dress Agency in Ponteland Village. Let me tell you about the shop in general and what to expect should you come and visit. Situated right next door to Nat West Bank on West Road in Ponteland, “Look Twice” has been established since August 1st 1985, the idea of the shop was originally thought up by life long friends Sally Richardson and Isobel Wind.

Customers like yourselves bring in top quality garments to sell through my shop, turning unwanted clothes into cash, Sometimes you may want to spend your spare cash within the shop again after seeing something that you cannot resist! You would be amazed at the stock that comes through the door on a daily basis for me to sell on. 
My customers come from all over the country, from down south right up to the Shetland Isles. The selection of stock within the shop is nothing short of fantastic to say the least and I cater for all sizes, from 8 – 24 and all ages from mid teens up to great grandmas!

You will see a vast range of Separates, Accessories and Hats by the score – Hat Hire Available. Amongst the stock on display are makes from Jobis, Belinda Chng, Frank Usher, Condici, Medici, Tom Bowker, August Silk, Linea, Kalico, Coast, Precis and many more too numerous to mention.

I am well known in the North East for specialising in Mother of the Bride/Groom and Guest ALL YEAR ROUND.

Many of the outfits that have been bought at my shop have gone to Ascot and Buckingham Palace, and it is a great feeling when my customers come back in and show me photographs from their special occasion, and tell me how fantastic they felt on the day and looked like a million dollars.

The prices within the shop suit all pockets, whatever your budget I’m sure you will find it at “Look Twice”. You Can Dress to Impress at a fraction of the cost of high street prices and if you want any help or advice on fashion, then I will only be too pleased to help you if you asked.

My shop is rather like an Aladdins Cave, full of surprises and because I have so many beautiful clothes in the shop I make a point of changing my window displays every day. It has over the years become a talking point and I find it very rewarding when people pop in and make a point of commending me on my colourful windows. I have heard that people hold a guessing game as to what colour window I will have that day before they actually see the display!
 

On December 21st 1998 I took over the shop after working for Sally and Isobel for many years. I have found it a very exciting and rewarding venture. I love to meet new customers and gradually over the years they have become my regulars and usually end up bringing friends or relatives to the shop to introduce them to the “Look Twice” experience.

If you have never been to “Look Twice”, set a little time aside and come and see for yourself. Browse at your leisure and broaden your horizons in fashion. You will be amazed at what you see and wonder why you had not visited long before now.
