We have combined the Ponteland Online business directory, clubs directory, and the local information pages into one new directory packed full of features. If you need a local tradesman or perhaps a telephone number for a club, or a menu for a restaurant, we hope to have them all listed here in the directory along with contact details and locations.

We also offer facilities to download and print out the details and, where a business or organisation choose to make them available, there will also be downloads of leaflets, brochures, menus, membership forms etc. etc. This will be the most comprehensive online directory for the Ponteland and Darras Hall area, so call back often to see new features.

If you are a local business or shop owner either in the Ponteland area, or wishing to advertise your services in the Ponteland area please check in the directory to make sure you are listed so that residents can find your services quickly. If you are not listed, register now and submit your business to the directory with a free listing. Alternatively take a look at our 'Advertising Options' page to see upgrade options allowing you enhance your listing with documents for your customers such as membership forms and menus, photograph galleries, and many other features.

Once you have decided which option suits your needs, return to your listing (if you have one) and click on the 'Is this your business' link to register and upgrade your account.

If you run a club or society or belong to a club, you can use the same steps as for businesses above to submit or enhance your listing. We have subsidised rates available for clubs and societies, however if you feel a business option is more suitable, you can of course use any one you choose.

A feature of the clubs and societies options is the Ponteland.info domain name and email addresses. You may have a domain name such as www.yourclub.ponteland.info which you can use on your stationery and will take visitors straight to your page in the Ponteland Information Directory. You may also use a Ponteland.info email address such as yourclub@ponteland.info which we can redirect to another address of your choice which will keep your own email address hidden and prevent spam coming to your own email address. 

Keyword Search

Using the Keyword search box you can enter either a business name, club or some other relevant keyword. Search results will include categories, business names, street names, words from descriptive text, meta tags etc.

The Keyword search box may be used on its own or you can narrow searches down by combining the Keyword search box with either the Category box or the Location box or both.

Category Search

If you wish to see all results from a particular category, simply choose that category and press search.

Location Search

If you wish to see all results from a particular location, simply type in the location name and press search. The location can be a town, village or street name. You may also use a post code or part of a post code in the Location box. You can use an exact full post code or widen your search by using part of a post code. For example 'NE20 9SD' will return only addresses with that exact post code whilst 'NE20 9' will open the search up to a wider area and 'NE20' on its own will return all listings in the whole NE20 area.

Results Variations

The results you get can depend on how the listee has worded their advert and how they have made use of their Meta Keywords and Meta Description allocation. If for example you are looking for a window cleaner, the results you get might be quite different depending on whether you searched for cleaner, cleaners, clean, window cleaner etc.

Click on Create Account in the main menu. Complete the account registration form. You will then recieve an email to the email address you specified in the sign up process. Click on the link in your email and finish the login process

1. Create an account as per the instructions above.

2. Login with the Username and Password you selected.

3. Once logged in, click on 'Advertising Options' in the Menu box on the top left site of the page.

4. Select the level of advertising that is most appropriate to your requirements, then click Submit. 

We have a range of extra features that may be added to your package, if you require them, just ask..

5. Select the Category you wish to advertise in. Expand the folders to see the Sub-Categories by clicking on the +signs. Then press Submit.

6. Fill in the form.  *This section is basically a profile about you or your business and is visible to all visitors to the site.  Use it to promote your business or services. Only enter as much information as your wish. Do not include sensitive information or anything you don't want made public.

Most parts are self explanatory, and not all boxes are available in every package.

Add a logo or picture for the summary description if you wish.  Press Submit when you are finished.  *You can change or update details at any time by going to My Account / Orders / Manage.

Your account is now complete and live.

Log into your account and simply edit your listing settings.
